The System Management Advantage

One of the most important factors of the third party (Logistics Management Service) concept is that of total systems management. Tracking and resourcing data is important to the shipper as well as carriers involved. In the BP Logistics transportation program, a basic premise is that "problems can only be handled if we know about them." We apply this to our needs, our customer needs and our carrier needs in making sure that we make data available to all parties concerned.

The Shipper:
• Has the availability of an assigned account representative assigned to them for immediate customer service related follow up.

       • Our computer system is designed to have ready access to information concerning on time dispatch and arrivals. Dial in access is available by account for tracing.

       • Reports can be generated on a regular basis upon request for information regarding all phases of the operation including: claims, delivery times, cost or any other information that can be retrieved from our initial dispatching process.

       • One contact is all that is needed for your customer service, distribution or traffic departments to attain information instead of tracking down carriers and following a multi-step process.

       • All contact and follow up with carriers is performed by BP Logistics. Response time will be cut to a minimum and be made expediently.

The Carrier:
       • Is given on time performance reporting on a monthly basis in order to maintain the highest standards of service.

       • Has access to our computer system for dispatch information on his specific loads.

       • Gets the assurance in a market share by lane needs as long as service standards are met.

       • Is tendered traffic on a drop/pick, shipper load and count, seal integrity basis. This set up allows the carrier the opportunity to maximize equipment.
