For some reason I don't have more pictures of him, but here's
what I do have... This was my best friend for many many years. I
still terribly miss his company to this very day. I met him in a
book reading class in 7th grade in 1984, at what was then, Milburn
Junior High School. He had a notebook that he'd drawn all over and I
complimented him on that. Long story short... I'll share more
later... anywho...
We were basically Yin and Yang, he was calm and collected... I was
not. We went to Worlds of Fun on nearly a daily basis when his dad
gave him an old piece of shit AMC Gremlin on his 16th birthday. Then
he had a white Buick piece of junk that we continued our daily
Worlds of Fun adventures. He found a 76 Camaro and we rebuilt most of
the engine, I'm surprised it worked after that. While he was in school
learning to paint vehicles he painted the brown thing red. I have no
idea where that car is today...
I went into the Army, he moved into an apartment... I got out of the
Army, and moved in with something I called "Moose". For a while he
visited often, then he met someone, bought a house, I didn't
even know where it was. I also didn't know he had a son... Steve's
visits were fewer and farther apart until his death in 1993 just
shortly after his birthday... I'm unsure why he ended his life, all
I know are rumors and I don't care to share those. If anyone knew
Steve, please share stories with me?
