Medicaid sucks…
As I’ve mentioned in past blogs, I’m stuck on disability. There was a time about 6 years ago that I was ready to go back to work. I had a Geo Metro for the long drive to save gas on the trip and a better mindset. Then the economy went to shit, gas prices doubled, my so-called friend fried my Geo, I went deeper into debt, and even Wal*Mart wouldn’t hire my fat ass! So here I am…
Medicaid hasn’t paid for my shrink in over a year, and I just got a bill from said shrink for the first time ever, so I’m having issues with them wanting a truckload of cash. I thought that I’d ask about allergy, asthma, and immunology while I was on the phone with Medicaid and found out that it isn’t covered… so I canceled that doctor’s appointment. The doctor wanted $1,500 for the first visit and my co-pay would have been $300, chances are very good that the medications he would have given me would not be covered. My inhaler hasn’t been covered by insurance for about 6 years now… and I had to stop getting allergy shots about 6 years ago because the shot juice and the nurse to shoot it in was no longer covered. Isn’t that nice?
Did you know that dermatologists are not covered? My ENT (ear, nose, and throat) doctor isn’t covered anymore either, so I had to stop seeing him. No dental either, as if having bad or no teeth can affect health in any way. What DOES Medicaid cover? In the last few years, nothing. It’s for the baby factories and the babies they squirt out, and illegal aliens… nobody else.
Did you know that an illegal can get cash assistance, rental assistance, full health care, and they start out at nearly TWICE what I get in a month? Also, their many babies are covered too. I hope our next president puts an end to that bullshit… and that’s a whole ‘nother story.
